The orders have been good, but not at the level we had anticipated. Therefore, we are extending the spirit wear sale.
The sale will end on April 14.
Please consider the flannel pants. There is a minimum of 24 that need to be ordered, for them to be run. We have 14 ordered so far.
Remember - This sale will help to keep us from having the kids sell items that nobody enjoys selling, i.e. hoagies, chocolate bars, or magazines. If every player bought just one tee shirt, we would raise $4000 toward the turf fund. Right now, all age groups except Grasshoppers have at least one practice on the turf. When the Grasshoppers move up to U8, they will be on the turf almost exclusively. The turf is a benefit for everyone now, and in the future.
All the visiting travel coaches I have spoken to are envious of our facility. They tell me we are lucky to have such a place to practice and play. PTSA has pledged to fund one quarter of the total cost. The only way we can do that is through fundraising. We are trying to keep those efforts as pain free as possible. With the spirit wear, you get something that you can use over and over.
