'13 Tryouts for Peters Township Travel Soccer
Place: Peterswood Park Soccer Complex
Times: Girls 5:30-6:30, Boys 6:30-7:30
Dates: U10 May 6h (8-1-03 to 7-31-04)
U11 May 7th (8-1-02 to 7-31-03)
U12 May 8th (8-1-01 to 7-31-02)
U13 May 9th (8-1-00 to 7-31-01)
U14 May 10th (8-1-99 to 7-31-00)
Goalkeepers May 13th (All age groups - wear your gear); 5:30 for all players
Makeups May 13th; 6:30 pm
Tryout information:
Arrive at least 30 minutes before your scheduled tryout time in order to sign in for tryouts.
Each player will be given a pinney to wear and a tryout #. The parent/adult will be given a Tryout Notification Card—this card explains how to obtain the tryout results. Please retain this card! The pinney number is not a tryout number. Pay no attention to the pinney number!
Players must register online through PTSA for the Fall 2013 season to be eligible for Travel Tryouts. This should be done before tryouts, (see Registration page at www.ptsoccer.org for details). This registration is separate from signing-in on the day of tryouts, which is done at the field.
Each player must upload a birth certificate and a current photo to their account in the on-line Affinity system.
An additional Travel Program fee of $90 is required at the time of the Tryouts (checks only please). If your child is not on a final Fall roster, your check will be shredded, unless specifically requested otherwise.
Please bring the following to the tryouts (all of this is needed even if you have played travel before):
v Please wear soccer gear, bring a (labeled) ball and plenty of water
v email address etc. (you will be asked to complete a registration form with name, address, child's birth date, phone #, email address. Please have accurate information because registration forms are used for communication and notification purposes)
v Check for $90 payable to PTSA
v NOTE that in the past, you were required to bring photos and birth certificates to the tryouts. We will no longer accept these items at the tryouts. They must be uploaded to the Affinity system at the time of on-line registration. If your player has a birth certificate already loaded in the on-line account, they will only need to upload a current year photo.
Injured players and make ups:
Injured players must register on their specified tryout day; other tryout accommodations for those players will be made, if practicable. Make ups are not ideal. Players should make every effort to make their age specific tryout. In case of illness, you must contact the Travel Commissioner, Al Lopus at alopus@thorpreed.com. He will give you specific information about makeups on May 13th.
Notification procedure:
The final rosters will be listed on our website www.ptsoccer.org on the Travel page by mid-July. Please hold on to your child's Tryout Notification Card (with tryout number) since it will be needed to interpret the results.
